Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Oksana Solovieva began studying violin at the age of five with Tatiana Simonova. At 18 she moved to USA where she studies with Zinaida Gilels at Boston Conservatory with a scholarship "Honor´s Quartet¨ and participates in chamber music lessons with great masters such as Mr. B. Greenhouse, Quartet Lydian, and Triplex Piano Trio.

In 1999 she entered at Longy School of Music, Cambridge, MA to study with the concertmaster of Boston Symphony Orchestra Joseph Silverstein, where two years later she earned the Undergraduate Diploma in Violin Performance with an Honor´s Award and as a winner of "Concerto Competition".

In 2003 Oksana Solovieva received her Master of Music at the Indiana University, Bloomington, USA with the legendary professor Nelli Shkolnikova having also received master classes from R. Marfield, V. Rosenbaum, P. Frank, I. Kaler, A. Koff, A. Arad, S. Ritchie, M. Katz, Quartet Van Sweit and Emerson Quartet.

Currently she is working on her Ph.D. in Music at the University Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, Spain. Ms. Solovieva has been a soloist and participant in many international music festivals all over the globe, including Verbier Festival Orchestra, Switzerland; Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Germany; Tanglewood Music Center, USA; Pacific Music Festival, Japan. She has worked under the baton of conductors such as M. Rostropovich, S. Ozawa, C. von Dohnanyi, K. Mazur, C. Eschenbach, Y. Temirkanov, D. Sitkovetsky, J. Levine, M. T. Thomas, P. Yarvi and V. Gergiev.

Since 2003 Ms. Solovieva is a component of the Symphony Orchestra of the Liceo Theater in Barcelona. Since then she has also participated as a principle and assistant concertmaster at the Birmingham City Symphony Orchestra, assistant-leader of second violins at the London Philharmonic and leader of the second violins at Luxemburg Philharmonic, among others.

She has extensive experience as a concert soloist and chamber musician, offering performances in Spain, Russia, Colombia, France, Germany, Denmark, USA, Japan, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. She teaches violin and chamber music at the Liceo Conservatory, Barcelona and violin at the Superior School of Music of Catalonia.

Oksana plays a violin by J. B. Ceruti 1800, Cremona, Italy, and a bow of B. Rolland, France.
